This is a reading I did for a friend, BT. It started out as a 3 card reading with Ace of cups drawn first. Root of the powers of water. Ace means beginning and hearts mean emotion, receptivity and flow. The second card is another heart, the 8, representing abandoned dreams. The final card is the 10 of spades, an air sign meaning sword and intellect. It represents ruin, as opposed to success. My interpretation is that my friend has dreams starting in the past and if he abandons his dreams, his life won't be fulfilled. I did a 2 card clarification reading with the 6 of wands (clubs) affirming my interpretation and the King of hearts bringing completion to the journey of the Ace of hearts.
