I separated the deck and drew nine cards based on the Tarot de Marseille's Magic Quadrate Spread. From top to bottom & left to right, here is the basic read: I asked the cards, "What do you want me to know?" In the Past, having power was a negative influence in my life (king of wands.) The Major influence in my Past is the principle of Rhythm & Rotation (wheel of fortune.) A positive influence in the past is Abandoned Dreams. This top level of 3 cards tells me that it was necessary to abandon some dreams in order to turn the tide of my evolution. In the middle level, we see that Material Gain in the Present is a negative influence. The major influence now is the High Priestess, ie, divine ideas are the vehicles with which we traverse the cosmos.

Perfect Joy in life is a positive influence in the Present moment. Two of these cards have a purple border denoting Yesod on the Tree of Life. She is my foundation. The final level of Future cards reveals a negative influence of Happiness. She has a purple border, too. The primary influence in my future is the Sun. Will I be generative or stagnant? My positive influence is the knight of cups. Using my mental armor will balance the "giving heart" of Happiness. How can Happiness be a negative influence? Just like too much Power, too soon, could backfire, so too that too much giving is unwise. Mental armor, which is Reasoning helps me give discreetly and to remember to give to myself. Don't get lost in Samsara. Balance emotion with intellect.. Stay humble Yonas.
